The country star was scheduled to perform “America the Beautiful” at the event, held inside the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. However, a technical glitch occurred as the instrumental track cut out, leaving her without any accompaniment.
Without hesitation, Underwood quickly adapted to the situation. She turned to the audience, asking them to join her in singing. Her a cappella performance, backed by the crowd’s participation, captivated everyone present, including former President Joe Biden and President Trump.
